Your private, escorted adventure takes you through
5,000 years of mysteries and antiquities in 11 unforgettable days. You’ll visit
treasures, tombs and temples throughout the length of the Nile. You travel by
private car, by horse drawn calesche, camel, donkey, felucca and jet aircraft.
Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and much more with almost everything included. Departures
are guaranteed daily. The group size is just you, minimum 2 persons.
Your Itinerary
Day 1.
This Tour starts and ends at the Cairo Airport. You will be met at
the Cairo airport by our tour representative and driver. You will
be met as you enter the terminal and after Immigration. Our
representative will assist you with your luggage and Customs, then take you to your hotel for
the evening. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2.
Start with a visit to the Egyptian Museum in the
morning. In the afternoon visit the Citadel of Saladin, the
Mosque of Mohammed Ali and Coptic Cairo including the Hanging
Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. If you wish, your escort will drop you off at
the Khan Al Khalili bazaar. Overnight in
Cairo. (B)
Day 3.
The entire day will be devoted to antiquities. Memphis,
Saqqara, The Pyramids and The Sphinx. You will even ride camels
at the Pyramids. Overnight in Cairo. (B)
Day 4.
A free day in Cairo. Your guide, car and driver are
available. Overnight in Cairo. (B)
Day 5.
You will be awakened early for the early morning flight to
Aswan where your full day of touring will start with a Felucca tour
around the islands in the Nile, including a view of the Nilometer
and the Agha Khan Mausoleum, then visit the High Dam,
Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple. Overnight in
Aswan. (B)
Day 6.
A free day in Aswan. Your guide, car and driver are
available. Optionally, you can visit Abu Simbel, the two
magnificent temples of Ramses II…a not to be missed site. You fly
to Abu Simbel, take the tourist bus for the 5-minute ride to the
monuments, hear the lecture from the Egyptologists stationed at the
monuments, return by bus to the airport for your return flight to
Aswan. We leave early to avoid the crowds and to be able to see
this wonder in early light. We return by air to Aswan for a free
afternoon. About 4 hours in total. Overnight in
Aswan. (B)
Day 7.
Today starts with a drive by private car or minibus to Luxor
with stops at Edfu and Kom Ombo on the way. The
afternoon will be free in Luxor. Overnight in Luxor. (B)
Day 8.
Another early morning ferry across the Nile to the West Bank
then a donkey ride to the Valley of the Kings. (A
non-donkey option is available.) The full day tour will include the
Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, The Temple of Queen
Hatshepsut, The Ramasseum and an alabaster factory.
Overnight in Luxor. (B)
Day 9.
A free day in Luxor. Your guide, car and driver are
available. Optionally, enjoy a Sunrise Balloon Ride over the Valley
of the Kings. Overnight in Luxor. (B)
Day 10.
A half day visit to Karnak and Luxor Temple
by calesche (horse drawn carriage) and then the afternoon at the
Luxor Museum. Later you will be taken to the airport for your
return flight to Cairo and overnight in
Cairo. (B)
Day 11.
This is a totally free Day in Cairo for you to decide with
your guide what to do. Your guide, car and driver will be available
from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. An optional farewell dinner and show on
one of Cairo’s famous floating restaurants is available and highly
recommended as a great way to cap off your visit.. A dayroom will
be available at the hotel for freshening up in the afternoon and
after the show. (B)
Day 12.
Transfer to the airport for your early morning departure,
between midnight and 3 AM. If your flight departs after 3 AM, an
additional night in the hotel will be necessary.

answered…you are treated as the honored guest you are.

Itinerary may vary slightly from the above to accommodate flight
schedules and availability, and other factors. All sight seeing and
services as stated will be included.
GRATUITIES. It is customary in Egypt to provide tips for your Guide,
Driver, porters and others who will provide services for you. Refer to
Baksheesh for details of the custom. Upon arrival, your Guide will request
a small amount from you to be used to provide baksheesh to other. Although
tipping of your Guide and Driver is not required, it is expected. We suggest an
average tip of $15/day per person for your guide and $8/day per person for your
driver. You can certainly tip in USD. Of course, you are welcome to tip more or
less depending on your satisfaction with the services provided.

PRICES. All prices are
in US dollars and are per person, double
occupancy. Extra nights can be added and
include accommodation, breakfast and the availability of your Guide,

PRE-
and POST-TOUR NIGHTS AND EXTENSIONS. If
you arrive one or more days before your tour or depart
one or more days after it ends we can provide excellent
accommodations in Cairo. We also have an excellent
selection of Extensions to your tour. After all,
you've come all this way, you may as well see and do more.
TRAVEL
INSURANCE.
We strongly recommend the purchase of Travel
insurance. This coverage protects you financially if
you should have to cancel or interrupt your trip due to an
unforeseen circumstance or if you need to seek medical
attention while traveling. The price is
approximately 6% of the total.
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS.
Flights to and from Cairo are
not included in our prices. We are happy to research
airfares and schedules for you.
International air is only available with purchase of the
Egypt land package.
